I believe AI will disrupt traditional jobs, but it's not a zero-sum game. While automation may replace some tasks, it will also create new opportunities and enhance existing ones. AI will augment human capabilities, making certain jobs more efficient and freeing us up to focus on creative problem-solving and high-touch tasks. It's crucial to upskill and reskill our workforce to thrive in an AI-driven economy, ensuring that the benefits of technological progress are shared by all.

Tell me about yours. What is your view on AI and job displacement?

The truth is that as some people are losing job because of AI, there are others that are gaining jobs because of it. So it is a two-way thing.

AI won't cause job losses except for people that don't want to evolve with the tide. Everyone that doesn't want to lose their jobs should learn now and become AI compliant because we are in the AI revolution.

Pay ai credits to develop and design for you cheaper than pay a person.

Not everyone has the skills to to interact with AI and make use of it. Most people are not even tech inclined in the first place. What do we do about such ones?

Well, I do believe that AI will take away some jobs but I also believe that AI will create more job opportunities. AI will also improve workflow. Therefore, AI will help people more compared to the harm done. Instead of spending hours doing research, you can use AI for research and get the answer in no time. Instead or spending hours staring the computer screen, you can use AI to get ideas and brainstorm ideas. There are a lot of possibilities.

It is possible to make a full theme of website for example with freepik services so the need of graphic designer will significally decrease in next incoming days, this is a small example, an upgrade is not expensive 45 euros billed yearly that you spend 100 times like this if you pay a graphic designer for making your websites design.

I guess that trades like Carpenters like myself will get higher pay :) I think AI will take longer to replace those manual jobs. :) (plumbers, electricians, painters, etc..)

Whenever l read something about the AI and the automation that comes with the advancing technology, l simply freeze. My mind freezes so much because l am being aware that most jobs would be lost in the sense that in places where we have like ten men slot job that would be reduced to like two or three men doing that job. So you can see that the Al is simply replacing the human labour gradually in the workplaces.
Therefore, people should brainstorm on some proactive measures to take so that the AI can become a really blessing to us and not like curse.
That includes apply on the principles of the AI to generate some opportunities like the online writing sector for instance.

You are not alone lol... I started panicking when I started learning about AI. But something that calmed me was, this is not the first technological revolution in human kind. Somehow we will make it work in our favor and fix/improve what needs to be. I trust humans in that aspect.

Graphic designing and writing are some of the fields that most people believe will be displaced by AI. However, we need to understand AI might not always come up with a great design or a great piece of writing. Then there are tech companies like Google and meta announcing that they will flag AI generated content. This proves that AI should be used to improve workflow and not entire use to create content.

I believe so, however, I also believe there is a way to use AI technology to improve workflow on the jobs that need to be done manually. For instance, I have carpenters use AI powered machine to carve wood blocks and farmer use AI powered drones to spray insecticides on the crop.

There would be tools improved by AI, but I don't see any time soon AI to replace a front door, replace a column, build a custom stair case, run cables through walls, unclog pipes, etc...
I was mainly referring to home repairs, home building, renovations and many other things that requires physical/mind combination that have different working environment everyday, every job.

Whenever there is a new technology advancements, some jobs are threatened and lost too. But it does open avenues for many new ones. It has happened earlier too. People have to keep evolving and upskilling to stay relevant in the job market.
But yes, I am personally very worried about it entering every aspect like creative writing, designing etc. It can never match the human level, but then the business world will compromise with it because of it being cheaper option. My biggest concern is the ethical use of it.

Yeah, simply put, humans need to keep adapting to changing circumstances. That's how to keep up with the ever changing job sector.

Yes that's right as some people are losing their jobs of course others will gain. As those that are digital savvy will use their skills to have more money as they get employed. So it is not a lost for every one involved
